Invisible (Glasgow) Partners with The Glasgow Barons for New Govan Mural Trail

A poster showcasing the Govan Mural Trail in Glasgow, highlighting the vibrant street art and cultural significance of this must-see attraction.

In Glasgow we are very excited to be working in collaboration with the Glasgow Barons, a local organisation that has been helping make music in Govan since 2017 with schools, community groups and local people to develop a brand new tour: The Govan Mural Trail!

The Govan Mural Trail is a magical musical journey round some of the open air art created by Yardworks.

The Glasgow Barons got local singer-songwriters to create new songs about each mural and at Invisible (Glasgow) our guides are busy developing walking tours that will take you to each mural, bringing stories around Govan to life.

These tours will be available to book for free from July 19th to August 12th with two occurences per week: on Wednesdays at 2pm and Saturdays at 11am. You can sign up for a tour by going clicking here.

The tours will start at the Mary Barbour Statue at Govan Subway to discover the marvellous people who make up our history. You can also find a digital map of the tour – with each stop accompanied by a video clip from our friends at The Glasgow Barons here!

This project is part of Glasgow Life Artists in Communities and Yardworks GRID programme.
