In celebration of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour coming to the Scottish capital, Invisible Cities is spreading kindness and messages of positivity through handmade friendship bracelets.
The dedicated team of guides and volunteers have created the friendship bracelets – now synonymous with artist- which will be distributed in the city from June 5th. These will be gifted to a number of venues, including hotels and local businesses for everyone to pick up for free.
The idea behind this campaign is to spread messages of positivity and kindness and some of the bracelets will also be distributed to local projects supporting women who are experiencing a difficult time.
The bracelets carry positive messages associated with Taylor’s best known songs and mantras including be kind, love, 13, Eras, be brave, anti hero and lots more.
Invisible Cities’ CEO, Zakia says “Our aim as an organisation is to support people into becoming whoever they want to be and create a world that is more compassionate and understanding. Of course we do this through our tours by raising awareness of issues that matter to us, but also through campaigns like this. Our guides and volunteers have spent time making these so people can take home a really special and meaningful souvenir from the city but also so we can continue on spreading messages of love. We ask that if you pick up one of these during your stay in Edinburgh you tag us in your photos using #doingtourismdifferently”
Invisible Cities runs tours of Edinburgh every day of the year, including during the three dates Taylor Swift is in Edinburgh. Book your tour today or if you would like to donate and support our ongoing work and campaigns throughout the UK go here.
