Our Tours

Our amazing and experienced tour guides, all of whom have been affected by homelessness, simply live and breathe their cities.

Invisible Cities is a social enterprise offering walking tours in cities across the UK.

All of our tour guides have been supported, trained and mentored by Invisible Cities through grants, funding and donations.

Our guides have incredible stories to tell about their cities and we have tours in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, York and Cardiff – soon to be in four more cities!

Looking for alternative things to do during your trip? We tell the stories others don’t – hear about the city from people who really know their history and the off the beaten track magic hidden behind the main streets.

Want to see a city beyond the postcard and take life-changing stories home with you?

Come on a walking tour with us and leave a positive social impact after your visit.

As a social enterprise we prioritise offering ethical, sustainable tours and employment opportunities.

Want to go beyond the tourist trail?

There are many reasons that we train people affected by homelessness to become walking tour guides.

It’s about confidence, a fresh start and a new challenge.  Our guides tell stories of their own city and offer these alternative tours to tourists and locals who are looking for different things to do, beyond the typical and sometimes generic group tours.

Our training focuses on confidence building, public speaking and customer service so that our guides can bring their own experiences to life, wow you with their knowledge and make you smile.

We partner with professional tour guides to build bespoke tours and practice our routes. All of our guides choose their topics, themes and stories based on their own interests and experiences.

Want to have a positive local impact on the city you’re visiting? Come on an Invisible Cities walking tour.
