Why Your Online Reviews Matter

Last week we found out we were a Travelers' Choice Winner with Tripadvisor for 2020 which is an amazing achievement for the whole team at Invisible Cities!

We take a lot of pride in our reviews but also use them as a way to move forward with our guides, trainees and team. We can't thank all the guests who have taken the time to write a few words, enough. It has helped us reach a solid reputation online and of course it helps being more visible online.

Did you know that 92% of consumers read online reviews of local businesses in order to determine whether these businesses are good or not, with 80% considering reviews just as important as personal recommendation? (Source Search Engine Land)

As a social enterprise, we rely on the income generated through our walking tours to support more people who have experienced homelessness by becoming guides but also by accessing other employment and education opportunities. So leaving a review is a pretty big deal.

But they also help us grow. They help us understand what customers value most and what they enjoyed. But sometimes they also include details of what they may have found tricky: was it finding the starting point, the length of the tour, or the weather? (We can't really do anything about the latter- sorry) But at Invisible Cities, we use reviews as a regular checking point to improve our work with guides. We also check out other tour companies' reviews, as a guideline for what customers are expecting.

So if you have been on one of our Invisible Cities Tours, please leave us a review, on Tripadvisor, Google or Facebook. If you haven't you can book one here!

If you’ve enjoyed this article like we enjoyed writing it, consider sharing.
