In Partnership with The City of Edinburgh Council, enjoy a series of virtual events throughout Scotland: Gaelic With Invisible Cities - Gàidhlig le Invisible Cities
On Thursday 22nd/Friday 23rd/Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th, we are putting together a series of events for everyone wanting to discover the language, get a brief introduction, or those already speaking Gaelic throughout the world.
We even have something for schools and families! Check our fun resources to download for free and new merchandise items, available in our shop.
Private events will include a collaboration with E-Voyages, introducing Gaelic to some of their international guests.
Follow our Edinburgh guide Angus and discover the remaining Gaelic Connections in the city. This is a mix of pre-recorded content and live Q&A Session with Angus 1 hour long via ZOOM
Gaelic Folk story telling session for children aged 6+ over ZOOM
Listen to our Edinburgh based guide Paul as he tells us all a folk story, that will also include Gaelic word! Suitable for the whole family.
Learn a Gaelic song with Ann and Heather.
Ann, a native Gaelic speaker will teach the song “Fear a’ bhàta” – “The Boatman” accompanied by Heather singing.
45 minutes via Zoom.
Discover traditional Scottish folk magic practices and plant lore dating back to our early ancestors – plus some modern botany and geology! This workshop is delivered by fellow social enterprise Edinburgh Remakery and will require you to receive materials at home before we start!
