We are delighted to introduce Living Lab on Foot, a new series of free guided health walks in Govan. in 2026.
This project is delivered in partnership with the University of Glasgow and the Health Innovation Hub, and is organised alongside our regular Meet Me in Govan walking group with the Living Laboratory team.
Meet Me in Govan has been bringing people together through weekly community walks for several years. Living Lab on Foot builds on this strong foundation, creating a special series focused on exploring health, wellbeing and community in Govan.
Health means many things but it is not only about hospitals or research, we believe it is also about housing, green space, connection, support, history and the stories of the people who live here. Through these walks, we will explore health in its broadest sense, using Govan’s streets, buildings and public spaces as our starting point.
Our experienced Invisible Cities guides, Silvana and Angie, will lead each walk in their usual welcoming and conversational style. They will share local stories, history and reflections connected to health and make the themes accessible, thoughtful and open to discussion.
These walks are for everyone. You do not need any specialist knowledge. Just bring comfortable shoes and curiosity.
Each walk will begin at 10.30 am the Pearce Institute reception (2, The Pearce Institute, 840-860 Govan Rd, Glasgow G51 3UU) and follow a gentle route through Govan. We will finish at the Health Innovation Hub (Holmfauld Road, Glasgow G51 4RY), where we will gather for tea, coffee and a relaxed session connected to the theme of the day. These informal sessions offer time to reflect, learn something new, and connect with others.
Living Lab on Foot is open to everyone across Glasgow and no matter if you are part of the Meet Me in Govan community already or joining us for the first time. We walk at a relaxed, conversational pace and aim to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Walk start at 10.30 am on these dates. All walks are free to attend, but booking is required. Please book your ticket below by clicking on the date of your choice below:
We look forward to walking with you.
